A new start up company,
Collecta.com has claimed what it calls the 'real' real time search engine. Collecta.com collects its data streams from real time conversation and news feeds from Twitter and other news services like CNN, FOX and Reuters. It also draws its information from Wordpress blogs. By doing this it can present real time conversations and information as it happens not unlike Google search where data sometimes are days old depending on the page's link popularity. Collecta uses the web standard called XMPP, for Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol. It is used in instant messaging, Web voice, and other time-sensitive services. It allows allows for data to move from one person to another very fast.
