Windows 7 to Ship In Six Different Versions
Windows will ship its newest version of Windows into six different flavors. Microsoft has confirmed to some sources that its newest offering will be having six different version aimed for different markets. Windows 7 Starter Edition This version of Windows 7 is primarily aimed at emerging markets and netbook users. Since this is the basic edition, users can only open 3 applications simultaneously. An improved task bar and a Jumplist are also included in this version. Other feature includes sharing of media files on the local network. Windows 7 Home Basic Windows 7 Home basic version is the equivalent of the of Vista's Media Center. This version features include internet connection sharing on wired and wireless LAN, use of unlimited application at the same time, live thumbnail previews and other UI improvements.
