Nokia 5230 Announced

Nokia has just announced the new Nokia 5230, its latest addition to its touchscreen line of mobile phone. The 5230 features a full screen QWERTY keyboard on a 3.2 inch wide screen. It also features a handwriting recognition software, music player with 33 hours of playback time, A-GPS navigation ,the latest version of Ovi Maps with aerial images, 3D landmarks for over 200 cities and terrain map views for pedestrian and drive navigation. Memory storage is expandable up to 16GB via a microSD card. The 5230 will be release in two flavors a standard phone costing 149 Euros and in some select locations a phone that will shipped with loaded music. The 'Comes with Music' version will sell for 249 euros. The 5230 will shipped this fourth quarter of 2009. Nokia has announced its entry into the laptop business with the introduction of the Nokia 3G booklet. The Nokia 3G Booklet is a mini laptop running a Windows system and powered by an Intel Atom processor.It has 10.1-inch LCD HD display. Other features includes a built-in GPS with OVI maps support, connectivity thru 3G/HSPA and Wi-Fi, webacam and HDMI support. What's more. it has a support for SIM card functionality, so basically it's still a phone with a laptop functionality. This newest phone to be release by Nokia and AT&T looks like a digital. The Nokia Surge is the latest offering from Nokia and will be available from At&T this coming July 19, 2009. This phone is based on the S60 platform and it features a slider full QWERTY keyboard for easy typing and a 2.4-inch QVGA display. It is so thin that it measures only 15 mm thick. It comes with a 128MB built-in memory which is expandable up to 8 GB via a microSD. A built-in GPS enables easy navigation with AT&T's Navigator service. Talk time is up to 4.7 hours while standby time lasts up to 400 hours. So if you want this this phone you should be willing to shell out $79.99 of your hard earn money and wait till next week. Nokia 6600i Slide Launched

A new slider phone has been announced by Nokia. The new Nokia 6600i is the successor to its Nokia 6600 phone but with more added features which includes an upgraded 5 megapixel camera with a dual LED flash. Another nice feature of this phone is the hidden external display where you can simply tap the surface to view the hidden display. This touch technology enables you to accept or silence calls , stop alerts or simply reject incoming calls. Memory storage is with a 1GB microSD but you can add up to 16GB more of storage for you various files. Nokia 6600i will be available this third quarter of 2009 for a SRP of 200 Euros. Nokia has announced the new Nokia E52, with its longer talk time, it will take about 8 hours before having to recharge its battery It include features such as A-GPS, high-speed HSDPA and HSUPA connections, and a 3.2-megapixel camera. A built-in Mobile VPN allows interconnection with company intranets and couple with a Call Connect support it enable businesses to integrate the device on local corporate phone system. It also comes with support for Nokia Messaging, Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveller. Memory storage is with a 1 GB microSD. This will be available on second half of 2009. Nokia Point and Find

Using your Nokia phone you can get relevant information by just pointing your camera phone on any physical objects. Nokia Point and Find service lets you get relevant information from physical objects in real time. Initially this experimental service is available on selected S60 phones and works on select movie posters and barcodes only. But think of possibilities when using this service, a tourist pointing at a landmark and getting instantaneous info about that object. How about pointing it on a person and getting that person's personal information, well that is extreme. This service really is promising. With just a tap on a contactless device you can now make secure payment with the new Nokia 6120 classic. Nokia has announced that the 6120 classic will be available starting in the third quarter of 2009. The Nokia 6120 classic is the first phone with SIM based NFC enabled device to be marketed by Nokia. Consumers can also conveniently share contents such as images, audio and contact information by just simply tapping the device. With the SIM based NFC, carriers can add features directly on the SIM card such as secure payment and ticketing transactions. How secure are NFC transaction is anybody's guess. Only time will tell.
