New in Gmail Labs: Play Google Voice Messages in Gmail

A new feature has been added to Gmail that lets you play Google Voice messages right inside Gmail. Google Voice is free service from Google that lets you consolidate all your phone communication with a single unique number. With Google voice you can have online access to a single voicemail inbox and automated transcription. It also features call screening , call blocking and other helpful features to help you manage your communication. With the new feature added to Gmail, voice messages can be played back right inside Gmail. Previously when you receive a call, a notification email will be received and when the message is played a new browser window will be displayed. With the new feature, the message is played right inside Gmail.

You can enable this feature by turning on the Google Voice player on the Gmail Labs Settings.
