Apple Releases Mac OS X 10.6.2

Apple has just release a new update the Mac OS X 10.6.2. This is the second maintenance update for its Snow Leopard. Together with this release are some bug fixes and security updates. The updates can be downloaded on Apple's Download page.


Some of the issues being addressed by the updates includes the following:
  • an issue that might cause your system to logout unexpectedly

  • a graphics distortion in Safari Top Sites

  • Spotlight search results not showing Exchange contacts

  • a problem that prevented authenticating as an administrative user

  • issues when using NTFS and WebDAV file servers

  • the reliability of menu extras

  • an issue with the 4-finger swipe gesture

  • an issue that causes Mail to quit unexpectedly when setting up an Exchange server

  • Address Book becoming unresponsive when editing

  • a problem adding images to contacts in Address Book

  • an issue that prevented opening files downloaded from the Internet

  • Safari plug-in reliability

  • general reliability improvements for iWork, iLife, Aperture, Final Cut Studio, MobileMe, and iDisk

  • an issue that caused data to be deleted when using a guest account

U2 Concert Live at YouTube

U2's upcoming concert to be held at Pasadena Rose Bowl in California will be streamed live at YouTube. This was announced last September 2009. The live streaming broadcast will be seen in at least 16 countries namely Australia, Brazil, Britain, Canada, France, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain and the United States.

JVC Launches New HD Everio Memory Camera

JVC releases the HD Everio GZ-HM400, a full HD video camera with 10.3 megapixel of CCD sensor. It uses the KONICA MINOLTA HD LENS for capturing high resolution videos and still photos. Still photos are captured using the CCD sensor that features a Bayer Array RGB Color Filter with 9 megapixels effective resolution providing crisp and clear images. It also features recording of up to 600 fps, making it possible to capture high speed events such as car racing and sports events flawlessly. For storage it uses a 32 GB internal memory and an external slot that accept an SD/SDHC card for expansion.

Android Powered LG Smartphone Announced

LG Electronics has announced its first Android powered smartphone with the introduction of the LG-GW620. The LG-GW620 is an Android powered mobile phone that features a slide out full QWERTY keypad and a 3 inch touchscreen. Other information about this phone are not yet available including the price and the release date to market.
