New In Gmail : Send mail from Another Address




Gmail has added another feature, this time you can now send emails from another domain without "behalf of'. Before this feature, sending email from another domain using the custom "From" option will include the sender's username lke this - username@gmail.com On Behalf Of customaddress@mydomain.com. With this feature the 'behalf of' part will now be remove. The difference between the old and the new feature is illustrated below.

You can enable this by going to Accounts page under Settings, and click "edit info" from the "Send mail as" section. Then select "Use your other email provider's SMTP servers."
