Amazon Kindle is without a doubt the most popular ebook reader today.With its wireless capability you can download ebooks easily and its paper like display you can enjoy hours of reading pleasure. But there are others ebook readers available in the market today that are comparable with the
Kindle. Take for example the ebook reader from Elonex, a UK PC manufacturer. Elonex recently launched its own ebook reader, in partnership with Borders UK. The Elonex ebook reader at only 9 mm thick and weighing 180 grams can carry up to 8000 ebooks. In addition to ebooks, it can also store pictures and files. It is compatible with the free Adobe Digital Editions software which is becoming the industry standard for downloading and protecting a customer’s eBook purchases. It also supports DRM protected reflowable PDF and ePub formats.
The Elonex eBook is available from Borders UK stores and priced at £189 or about $304 which is much cheaper than the Kindle at $359.00. It includes 100 free eBooks, a free Mains charger and data cable.
