Garmin Foretrex All Weather GPS




Gramin has released their latest personal navigation gear, an all weather, waterproof device aim at hikers, skiers, campers and military personnel. The Foretrex 401 and Foretrex 301 GPS navigators are wearable personal navigation system with WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and a USB interface. It contains a highly sensitive receiver with a HotFixTM feature that quickly and accurately receives satellite signal even in intense tree covers or low canyons.It also includes a TracBack® feature where you can retrace the point where you started.Other feature include an electronic compass and a barometric altimeter. Information can be transferred to a PC or Mac using a USB interface. This device is so lightweight that it only weighs about 3 ounces and it is wearable around the wrist.Two AAA batteries powered the device that lasts up to 17 hours, ideal for camping trips and long journeys.
