How to Use Gmail Multiple Inboxes

Gmail now allows you to have multiple panes on your inbox pane. It lets you define what will be displayed on the pane based on your filter search settings and labels. Say you want to display all messages with a certain label; it can easily be done using the multiple inbox feature. My first impression when I saw this feature is that you can manage multiple Gmail account with this feature, but I was mistaken. But if you have multiple Gmail acount and you want to view it in a single account, this will be possible by using this feature.

To view your other messages, just follow the step and you can view it at no time.

Enable first the Multiple Inboxes by going to [Setting]>[Gmail Labs]. By the way Gmail Labs is another feature that has been recently added. Here you can add many features on your gmail accounts but these features are still experimental , so just be careful.

Find the Multiple Inbox on the list and check to enable.

Log in to your other accounts.
Go to [Settings]> [Forwarding/POP/IMap] Options.

Enable the forwarding feature and enter the email address where you want to forward your email.
You can either delete, archive or keep the original email on the drop down menu.
Save Changes and then log out.

Go to your primary account where you forwarded your messages.
Go to[ Setting]>[Multiple inbox].
Enter the email address from where you forwarded the messages.

Save Changes.
If you still want to add more inbox pane to see your other Gmail accounts messages. Just repeat the steps.

We'll that's it , go to your inbox and see the result. You can now view your messages from your other Gmail accounts.

One other thing about the forwarding feature of Gmail. If you don't want someone to know your real email address but you still want to receive email from that person, you can set up multiple Gmail account and then set it up to forward all the messages to your primary Gmail address.
